Basic Smart Battery System Upgrade Package 150Ah

The HYMER Smart Battery System unites 2 different types of battery (AGM and LI battery). Consequently, it is possible to utilise the advantages of both techniques and significantly increase the durability of the batteries. The useful capacity increases almost 4-fold from 47 Ah to 197 Ah.

Functional principle:

1. Priority-based charging of the AGM battery

2. Complete charging of the LI battery

3. Discharging of the LI battery

4. Discharging of the AGM battery (buffer storage)

Increases the period of self-sufficiency from 1.4 days (at Ø typical consumption) to 5.6 days with 1 LI battery and up to 9.6 days with 2 LI batteries (expansion pack required)

 Increases service life from Ø approx. 3 years to approx. 10 years

Increases useful capacity from 47 Ah to 197 Ah

 Weight saving of approx. 5 kg with similar external dimensions of the LI battery compared to an AGM battery

Existing charging technology (EBL and, where necessary, battery charger) remains unaffected thanks to intelligent battery management

Complete winter-proof system: Excellent advantages, especially when exposed to minus temperatures as the LI battery accepts charge from the very first second. In doing so, the integrated heater is supplied by the EBL.

Environmentally-friendly: The existing AGM batteries do not have to be disposed of.

Safety benefit: LI battery = iron-phosphate. This means that overheating / fires cannot occur.
